The international Golden Key award has been given to Motul in the field of ‘Lubricant Brand of the Year!’. This independent professional award competition has been held annually since 2012 in Moscow. The winners of the prize were chosen by more than 14,000 respondents, among them 300 automotive professionals and independent garage owners.
On November 25th, the ceremony was held for the winners of the independent professional award "Golden Key. Service Station Choice" in the AVTODOM Altufievo dealer center in Moscow. Besides the ceremony, a test drive of premium and luxury cars were available for the guests. There were also guided tours to the service areas of the dealer center.
This year the winners could apply for 27 domains to win a ‘Golden Key award’. The organisation added new segments to the competition this year. Hence the rise of the ‘detailing’ market, specialising in car cleaning and perfection of cars. This became the widest new area of nominations, where the jury picked out six winners. The greatest interest among the participants was the prize of ‘Best Developing Brand’, for which more than 10 participants applied for a victory.
The methodology of selecting the winners included three stages of equal importance: online voting by workshops, end consumers and finally the verdict of a professional jury. In 2021, the online poll became more extensive: due to an active advertising campaign on social networks, over 14,000 respondents, including representatives of workshops and other segments of the automobile business, participated in the online voting. The professional jury of 29 experts from various automotive industries, as well as representatives of specialised media selected Motul in the category ‘Lubricant Brand of the Year’.
