MOTUL has presented the 300V range last improvements on October 29th, 2011 on the circuit Paul Ricard (South of France). This new range gathers technical evolution, new viscosities, new packaging and a new solution for products' authentication.
MOTUL launches the new 300V range
MOTUL takes advantage of its implication in competition and its presence during the finale of the French GT Championship to launch on a national scale its last range of lubricants for motorsports: the 300V range, which is constantly evolving in order to remain as the motorsport reference point, with two important targets always in mind: increase in power and increased reliability. In addition, safety remains paramount.
Created in 1971, the 300V range is constantly evolving in order to increase competition engines’ power. Motul’s R&D department focused on new formulations, placing esters at the center of its strategy, combining the latest 100% Motul base oil and new additive package. This complex and performing combination is held in each lubricant under the name of Ester Core ® technology, an evolving technology based on the Esters harnessing for over 40 years. The existing range is extended to a total of eight viscosities with the inclusion of two new products – 0W15 and 0W40.
There is also improved packaging showing a modernized 300V logo which brings to the forefront both the brand and the specified viscosity. MOTUL will be the first company in its sector to use the Bubble Tag™ security concept, guaranteeing product integrity and authentication. The consumer is now able to check in a fast and easy way his product integrity directly on the Internet. Indeed, the security seal fixed to the tin is endowed with a code related to every article, corresponding to the unique fingerprint of the product and guaranteeing its origin.
Continuous investment in research and innovation ensures that Motul’s products are matched to the latest advances in motorsport manufacturing and competition. R&D is carried out internationally by engine dyno testing, in the laboratory, and through experience gained directly in competition. The results of the development equate to a 7% increase in power in comparison with that attained by rival products and a gain in power means a gain in lap time – the ultimate target for all competitors! Add in extremely low oil consumption, perfect engine protection – even in extreme conditions – and a reduction in the traction coefficient, and the 300V range remains very much a step beyond existing industry standards.
With over 50 World Championship titles to its name, and as many major victories in multiple disciplines, MOTUL has a presence over 80 countries. An industry leader in evolution and technological development over the last five decades, Motul continues to make a difference today. Thanks to the ESTER Core® technology, the company shows one more time the developed skills in motorsport competition.
