Heat, Grit, and a Season Ignited in Buriram

Buriram International Circuit, 27 Feb – 1 Mar 2026. MotoGPTM riders powered through the sweltering conditions as they launched into the season opener in Thailand.
The 2026 season has officially begun kicking off the renewed partnership between MotoGPTM and Motul. With Motul’s powerhouse teams, Prima Pramac Racing and Red Bull KTM Tech3.
GRAND PRIX OF THAILAND CONQUERED
Jack Miller and MotoGPTM newcomer Toprak Razgatlıoğlu of Prima Pramac Racing, as well as Maverick Viñales and Enea Bastianini of Red Bull KTM Tech3, battled the brutal Buriram heat through a demanding 26-lap race, with strong mid-pack fights and valuable championship points marking a gritty and determined start to the 2026 MotoGPTM season.
The race concluded putting Marco Bezzecchi in the lead position with 25 points and placing Bastianini in P12, Viñales in P16, Razgatlıoğlu in P17, and Miller in P18.
Reflecting on the difficult race, Bastianini acknowledged the challenges they faced throughout the weekend.
For Razgatlıoğlu, the Thailand GP marked an important milestone as his first full race in the premier class.
TUK-TUK RACE CHALLENGE
All the MotoGPTM 2026 riders competed in a TukTuk Challenge before the 26-lap race. Miller and Razgatlıoğlu won the crowd’s heart with their entertaining antics during the challenge as they pulled wheelies and impressive techniques; ultimately claiming the challenge win.
The Motul booth also became the hub for fans during the Thai GP. Showcasing the GP Series and 300V ranges, exclusive merchandise, games and prize giveaways. Fans also enjoyed a meet-and-greet with Red Bull KTM Tech3 riders Viñales and Bastianini.
ON TO THE NEXT RACE
The sun sets on a historic weekend for MotoGPTM 2026 season, but it is just the beginning. The next race now heads to the Autódromo Internacional Ayrton Senna for the Grand Prix of Brazil, where the next chapter of the season will be written.
