MOTUL ASIA PACIFIC “CELEBRATE EVERY JOURNEY ONLINE CONTEST” TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

1. ORGANISER 

 

1.1 Motul “CELEBRATE EVERY JOURNEY ONLINE CONTEST 2025” [“Online Contest”] is organised by Motul Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. ,( “the Organiser”) a company incorporated in Singapore, with  business address at 1A International Business Park #06-03, Singapore 609933.

 

1.2 By participating in this Contest, Participants (“Participants and/or Participant”) agree to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). The Organiser reserves the right to amend or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

 

2. ELIGIBILITY

 

2.1 The Contest is open to all legal residents of the following markets: Singapore, Vietnam, China, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand1, Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines ("Participating Markets").  

 

2.2 Participants must be aged 18 years and above at the time of entry.

 

2.3 Individuals listed below are not eligible to participate in this Contest:

I. Employees of the Organiser [including its associates, subsidiaries] and their immediate family members [children, parents, siblings, including spouses].

 

3. CONTEST PERIOD 

 

3.1 This Contest will commence from 11th May 2025, 00:00:01 to 19th July 2025, 23:59:59 (Singapore Time) ["Contest Period"].

 

3.2 Any entries received before the opening date or after the closing date of the Contest will be rejected and deemed invalid.

 

3.3 The Organiser reserves the right to amend, extend or terminate the Contest Period at its sole and absolute discretion without prior notice.

 

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE, ENTRY CRITERIA 

 

4.1 To participate in the Contest, Participants must:

Step 1: Follow the official local Motul social media page on the relevant platform(s) used in their market (e.g Instagram, Facebook, Zalo, Line, WeChat)
Step 2: Like the contest post and tag two friends in the comments section.
Step 3: Share a post (photo or video) on their own social media page which showcases: 

  • A meaningful moment in their journey—whether it’s a road trip, a race, or an everyday drive with their loved ones. 
  • Why this moment matters and how Motul can help in their journey.

Step 4: Include the hashtag #JourneyWithMotul and tag the local Motul account (@motulindonesia).
Step 5: Ensure that the post or account is set to public to be eligible for judging.

 

4.2 Multiple entries are allowed, but each participant can only win one local prize and/or one regional prize.

 

4.3 Entries that are not received for any reason, or that are incomplete due to participant error, will be disqualified.

 

5. PRIZES AND WINNER SELECTION

 

5.1 Local Prizes

 

5.1.1. Winners will be selected at the end of each month during the Contest Period (May, June, and July) through a random draw.

 

5.1.2. Each winner will receive a Motul Prize Box containing Motul merchandise and selected range of Motul Products (“Products”).

 

5.2. A participant may win a local prize only once during the Contest Period.

 

5.3 Regional Grand Prize

 

5.3.1. At the end of the Contest Period, a panel of judges appointed by the Organiser will select the regional winners. 

 

5.3.2 The contest entries will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 

Criteria

Authenticity & Creativity – Genuine stories and innovative visuals or storytelling that capture the campaign spirit

Relevance – Connection to the campaign theme of celebrating journeys

Bonus Points – Unique locations or experiences, thoughtful captions that convey emotion and enthusiasm

 

5.3.3. Grand Prize per participating market will be a trip for one to experience MotoGP of Malaysia 2025 (flights, accommodation, transportation within the Motul VIP experience). 

 

5.4. All decisions made by the Company in relation to the contest are final and no enquiries, appeals or any other correspondence will be entertained. 

 

6. WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT AND VERIFICATION

 

6.1. Winners of the Contest will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used for entry within 7 working days from the winner selection date.

 

6.2.The winner agrees to the use of their entry, name/handle and/or image (as may be applicable) in announcing the Contest winner, and for advertising, promotion and other publicity purposes connected to the Contest without payment or compensation.

 

6.3. In the event that the shortlisted participant cannot be contacted or fails to respond within 7 days, the Organiser reserves the right to select the next shortlisted participant as the winner.

 

6.4. Local prizes will be delivered within 60 working days upon receiving all the necessary details, including but not limited to: full name, partial national identification number, contact number, email, and address.

 

6.5. The organiser will not be held responsible if the winner cannot be contacted for any reason.

 

6.6. The organiser will conduct one call with the winner to verify their human identity and ensure that they are not an automated entity.

 

6.7. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited after thirty (30) days.

 

6.8. The Prize is awarded “as is”. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, the Organiser disclaims all warranties representations or guarantees, express or implied, in fact, or in law, in respect of any aspect of the Prize including, without limitation, quality, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and the winner shall not look to the Organiser for such warranties or claims, if any.

 

6.9 The Organiser shall not be liable for any loses or damages which occur during the prize’s delivery process or in relation to the use of the Products. Transportation, accommodation, personal costs and/or any other costs, taxes, fees and/or other expenses that are incurred to participate in this Contest and to redeem the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. 

 

6.10. Prizes are not transferable, and prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. 

 

6.11. The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize of the same value without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion.

 

6.12. All decisions made by the Organiser in relation to the Contest are final and no enquiries, appeals, verbal or written or any other correspondence will be entertained. The Participants agree to accept and abide by all decisions made by the Organiser.

 

6.13. The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet and/or websites.

 

7. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND SAFETY

 

7.1. Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their content and actions comply with all applicable local laws and regulations. 

 

7.2. The Organiser does not condone or encourage any dangerous, reckless, or illegal activity as part of this Contest. 

 

7.3. Any entry that depicts or promotes illegal, unsafe, or irresponsible behavior (including but not limited to dangerous driving, speeding, or trespassing) will be disqualified. 

 

7.4. The Organiser shall not be liable for any claims, damages, injuries, or legal actions resulting from the Participant’s failure to comply with applicable laws or safety regulations while creating or submitting contest content. 

 

7.5. By participating in this Contest, Participants agree to comply and agrees unconditionally to the Terms & Conditions of this Contest and all decisions made by the Organiser. 

 

8. WARRANTIES

 

8.1. By entering the Contest, Participants warrant and represent that:

 

8.1.2. They are the sole and exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights in their submitted entry.

 

8.1.3. Their entry is original, does not infringe upon any copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of any third party, and has not been copied from any source without authorization.

 

8.1.4. The entry has not been used for commercial purposes or submitted in other contests, locally or abroad.

 

8.1.5. Their entry does not contain any defamatory, offensive, or unlawful material.

 

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

 

9.1. Participants retain ownership of their submitted content but grant the Organiser a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, distribute, and display the entry in any media for promotional, advertising, and marketing purposes.

 

9.2. The participant shall not have any right, title or interest in any intellectual property rights derived from or developed using the entry, even if such intellectual property rights incorporate the whole or any part of the entry

 

9.3. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any Participant if:

9.3.1. Their entry is found to be plagiarized, copied, or violates any third-party intellectual property rights.

9.3.2. They are found to have submitted false, misleading, or incomplete information regarding the ownership of the entry.

 

9.4. If a third-party claim arises regarding intellectual property infringement or any violation related to a participant's entry, the participant agrees to fully indemnify the Organiser against any claims, liabilities, damages, or legal expenses incurred.

 

10. DATA PROTECTION & PRIVACY

 

10.1. The Organiser collects, uses, and discloses participants’ personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore.

 

10.2. By entering the Contest, participants consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal data for the purposes of administering the Contest, contacting winners, and marketing activities related to the Contest.

 

10.3. Participants have the right to access, update, or withdraw their consent regarding their personal data by contacting apdesai@motul.com.sg. However, withdrawal of consent may affect their eligibility to participate in the Contest.

 

10.4. The Organiser will take reasonable steps to protect participants' personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

 

10.5. By participating in the Contest, the Participant give their consents to the Organiser, or any third party appointed by the Organiser to process the Participant's personal data for the purposes of this Contest. 

 

10.6. The Organiser will not disclose any participant’s personal data outside of the above purposes to third parties without first obtaining the participant’s consent, unless such disclosure is required by law or disclosure without consent is permitted under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

 

10.7. If the entry is a photograph or video or other media format featuring any other person besides Participant, the Participant shall obtain consent prior to the submission of the entry for the collection, use and disclosure of the said person’s personal data in the Contest. Such consent is required for the entry to be valid in the Contest.

 

10.8. Participant may refer to the Organiser's website at https://www.motul.com/information/privacy_policy for any information pertaining to the Organiser’s data policies.

 

11. INDEMNITY

 

11.1. By entering the Contest, participants agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Promoter, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

 

11.1.1. Any breach of these Terms & Conditions by the participant.

 

11.1.2. Any third-party claims related to the participant’s submitted content.

 

11.1.3. Any violation of applicable laws or regulations by the participant.

 

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

 

12.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event the Organiser or any of its officer, employee, representative and / or agent (including, any third party agencies that deals with the Organiser for the purposes of this Contest) be liable for any loss or damage (including loss of income, profits or goodwill or indirect damages, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise in connection with this Contest, although the Organiser has been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded. 

 

13. GENERAL CONDITIONS

 

13.1. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates community guidelines, contains offensive content, or is suspected of fraudulent activity.

 

13.2. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest due to unforeseen circumstances, technical failures, or regulatory requirements.

 

13.3. A person who is not a party to the agreement contained in these terms and conditions has no right to enforce or enjoy the benefit of these terms and conditions.

 

13.4. The Organiser reserves the right to reclaim any prize at any time if the Organiser deems that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions by any winner without any liability to any participants, whether discovered during or after the Contest period.

 

13.5. The Organiser’s failure to enforce any terms of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

 

13.6. To the extent that any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be wholly or partly illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the same shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms and Conditions and shall be of no force and effect. The remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

 

 

14. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

 

14.1 These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.

 

14.2 Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Contest shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
