MOTUL and Manthey extend their partnership
Cologne, February 2026 - MOTUL and Manthey are continuing their successful partnership for a further three years until the end of 2028. MOTUL remains the official development partner of the German automotive company based in Meuspath at the Nürburgring. The partnership focuses on joint motorsport performance at the highest technical level.
Since 2022, MOTUL has been contributing to top results in international GT motorsport as Manthey's exclusive development partner for premium engine oils. As part of the partnership, MOTUL also develops and supplies other high-performance fluids such as brake fluids and transmission oils and supplies the company with care products. “Our partnership has been distinguished by various successes over the past three years; it goes far beyond traditional sponsorship,” says Dmitry Bakumenko, managing director of MOTUL Deutschland GmbH. “Manthey uses our products under the harshest conditions. Based on great mutual trust, there is intensive technical exchange and thus a transfer of know-how that is valuable for both sides.” Manthey relies on MOTUL in all top-class international racing series, for example in the DTM as well as in the WEC, IMSA and in the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring.
Motorsport as the ultimate testing ground
“The MOTUL team has shown that they can develop products for enormous loads and high-performance requirements — and that is exactly what is extremely valuable for us,” explains Nicolas Räder, managing director of Manthey Racing GmbH. “Lubricants are a key performance factor in motorsport, and MOTUL supports us here with tailor-made solutions for every racing series and outstanding know-how. That is why we rely on the technical excellence of our proven partner in this area. ”
Continuing and expanding sporting successes
The close cooperation between MOTUL and Manthey has already proven effective and has led to joint sporting successes in recent years. These include DTM victories in the drivers' and teams' standings in the 2023 and 2025 seasons, and the “home race” of Manthey, the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, is also of particular importance. After many spectacular successes in recent decades and an unfortunate second place last year, Manthey and MOTUL will attack in a particularly strong competitive environment in the 2026 season.
The partnership is visible in the form of MOTUL branding on Manthey's vehicles, boxes and garages as well as in numerous joint activities on the edge of the racetracks, but also beyond: Manthey uses the entire MOTUL product range to optimize performance, the partners jointly create high-quality content with which they strengthen contacts with the motorsport community and exchange knowledge within Manthey's partner network in a profound and interdisciplinary manner — including across technical topics.
