After a win in race one, Kessel Racing lacks luck in race two

21.12.2012

For Kessel Racing, supported technically by Motul, the Gulf 12 Hours started well, on 14 December. Indeed, the team composed of Michael Broniszewski, Philipp Peter and Daniel Zampieri won the first six hours event, after 155 laps on the Abu Dhabi Yas Marina circuit. Unfortunately, the team did not confirm this first result in the second 6 hours series that took place partly at night. The team got off to a good start but was forced to make a pit stop as the front part of the Ferrari 458 was coming loose. This stop cost it four laps, impossible to catch up despite all the talent of the drivers who spared no efforts. They thus finished in sixth place, just behind Kessel Racing's other car, in the hands of Kola Aluko, Thomas Kemenater and Niki Cadei. The third car of the team, driven by Tiziano Carugati, Mario Cordoni and Mathias Beche, came thirteenth, after experiencing trouble that delayed it in the pits.

With this event Kessel Racing finishes a well-filled season; winter now leaves the team time to prepare carefully for the 2013 season.
