Club Motul: a new webshop with lubricants for demanding DIYers

Club Motul is a new webshop that has launched in the Benelux region. It means that, for the first time, the full range of Motul lubricants will be sold directly to end consumers through the internet. Club Motul is a joint initiative between Motul and CML Online BV, which specialises in building and running e-commerce platforms. The Benelux countries are leading the way in Europe for online sales to end consumers. Until now, Motul products were only sold through B2B channels. The webshop is aimed at demanding end consumers who want only the best lubricants for their vehicles.

Old-timer partnerships

In recent months, Motul has concluded two important, multi-year partnerships. First, with FEHAC, and more recently with BEHVA, the Dutch and Belgian old-timer federations respectively. Both organisations have loyal members and represent more than 150,000 vehicles. The members are mostly owners who like to roll up their sleeves to do their own maintenance on their classic cars. Several, new partnerships are planned in addition.

Motul has long been distributed in the Benelux by professional wholesalers. But recently, Motul has been growing fast and conquering an increasing market share. Motul is a brand with a lot of charisma, known for the superior quality of its products. Because of this, demand has emerged not only from the workshop, but also the end consumer. And the latter demand is now being met by Motul in a completely new and efficient way with Club Motul. Motul has a lot of confidence in the team at CML Online BV and in the future of the platform.

Besides this, Club Motul also brings the latest news from the Benelux as well as a knowledge base for visitors to the platform. With this, Club Motul aims to offer added value and create trust among visitors through a digital manual and support. Together with member clubs and federations, Motul’s ambition is to build a valuable knowledge bridge between it and the end consumer.

The website has been launched in Dutch and English; the French-language version will be prepared in the coming months. This will also allow the French-speaking part of Belgium to be served.
