FIVE HYPERCARS POWERED BY MOTUL

01.04.2022

The hypercar. A rare, extreme car that operates at the outer edges of what we thought mechanically and physically possible. Cars made by people who aren’t content to bow to popular thinking, to stick to the conventional path. People who want to go their own way. We love this passion and attitude at Motul, which is why we support some of the world’s leading hypercar makers as their official lubricant supplier. Here are five Motul-powered hypercars that have rewritten the word performance.

FIVE HYPERCARS POWERED BY MOTUL

W Motors Fenyr SuperSport

With a name inspired by a Norse wolf, you know instantly that the Fenyr SuperSport means business. And the excitement just keeps on building, from its aggressive styling to its volcanic soundtrack. Power comes from a Motul-lubricated 3.7-litre twin-turbo flat-six engine from RUF Automobile, with the dials turned up to the max: the Fenyr generates an astonishing 800hp and 908Nm of torque. The performance is as mesmerising as you can imagine: 0-100km/h is over in just 2.8 seconds, while the car will rocket on to the magical 400km/h.

Gunther Werks 993 Coupe Remastered

It’s easy to define a hypercar in pure power terms alone. But then you come to cars like those from Gunther Werks: extremely limited edition, bespoke creations, crafted from the ground up to be truly unique. Using a Porsche 911 (993) as a base car, already a great starting point, Gunther Werks gives each car a remarkable makeover, topped off a new 4.0-litre engine putting out 431hp. Performance is on a 911 GT3 level by the time Gunther Werks has finished. Only 25 versions of this coupe will be made, alongside a speedster version.

RUF CTR Anniversary

Nowadays, motoring videos with millions of views aren’t uncommon, but in the days before YouTube RUF released a video that changed the motoring world: its RUF CTR being driven to the absolute limit at the Nürburgring. The footage went viral, and a legend was born. The Yellowbird. Now, RUF has created a homage to that car, the CTR Anniversary. Light and high-tech, the two-seater is based on a carbonfibre monocoque, with a Motul-lubricated RUF 3.6-litre, flat-six bi-turbo engine providing the propulsion. With 710hp, the performance is best described as… staggering. 0-100km/h in 3.5secs, 0-200km/h in 9.0secs, and a top speed of 360km/h. Only 50 will be built

Brabus Rocket 900 “One of Ten”

For more than forty years, Brabus has been turning Mercedes cars into fire-breathing monsters. One of its latest, rarest and fastest yet is the Brabus Rocket 900 “One of Ten”. Based on a Mercedes GT 63 S 4MATIC+, Brabus has increased the displacement of the engine to 4.5-litres, and squeezed out 900hp and 1,250Nm of torque. This gives the Rocket a top speed of 186mph, which it can reach in just 23.9 seconds.

SCG 007

Jim Glickenhaus, the affable founder of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, is a car boss like no other. Not only is he not afraid to say what he thinks, but he’s successfully set his company on a bold path: to create race-proven hypercars for the road. The SCG 007 is just that. It’s an LMP1 car built for the new Hypercar category in the World Endurance Championship. But amazingly, Glickenhaus is offering 24 lucky customers the chance to own the road legal version of his accomplished racing car. With a 3.5-litre, Motul-lubricated twin-turbo V8 producing 1,400hp, a three-seater cockpit and LMH-standard aero, this is the closest you can get to a Le Mans car for the road.
