Now a tradition for several years, Wheels and Waves, the inevitable event of retro motorcycles, will be held from 14 to 17 June 2018 at the “Cité de l'Océan” in Biarritz.
This unique event brings together lovers of vintage motorcycles and surfing, all in a festival atmosphere from back in the days. For 4 days, it will shake the peaceful and beautiful seaside resort in the Basque coast for a good cause since 20,000 people came in 2017 to admire beautiful mechanics, original clothing, and art in the main village.
Motul has been surfing this wave for 4 years now, sharing the same values of passion and authenticity. In 2018, the brand will of course be present all week long throughout every animation: from El Rollo, the flat track race, to the Art Ride, the ephemeral exhibition. But most of all, Motul will be present in the heart of the village with a booth to welcome visitors and share the passion of old bikes that the brand knows well with its 165 year history. Three motorcycles with special preparations handmade by Luca Pozzato, creator of the Onirika 2853, will delight the eyes of bike lovers and an expert area will be available to the riders to debrief after a day of riding on these beautiful roads. The Motul MCCare range will be honored on the booth to ensure the maintenance of these crazy machines. As a sign of our Partnership with Ural Motorcycle, a fully personalized sidecar will be displayed at the Village.
A real gathering of 'urban cowboys', the Wheels & Waves festival allows, over a few days, to reproduce what characterized Biarritz in the 60's as a place of worship, a coast where surfing was born in Europe, pushed by particularly favorable wave conditions and an art of living tinged with carelessness.
