At the SIAT Expo 2026 automotive show in India, Julien Plet, Director of Research & Development at Motul, presented the group’s latest innovations.
For more than 170 years, Motul has established itself as a pioneer in high-performance fluids, with innovations that have become industry standards: Century, the first multigrade (1953), Century 2100, the first semi-synthetic (1966), then 300V, the first 100% synthetic ester-based lubricant (1971), which remains a benchmark in high performance today. The story continued with the ESTER Core® and NGEN Core® technology labels, the latter based on re-refined oil.
Having supported the evolution of combustion engines throughout the 20th century, Motul is now driving the essential technologies of the 21st century, including the shift to low-carbon mobility and the exponential growth of the digital sector.
The group is developing solutions compatible with new fuels, as well as thermal management technologies for electrified vehicle batteries and data centers through its EGEN DCC range.
These innovations are part of a sustainability-driven approach, enabling Motul to establish itself as a Fluid Tech Company capable of continuously reinventing itself.
