The rise of artificial intelligence, cloud computing and large-scale data processing has driven an explosion in demand for computing power, placing thermal management of digital infrastructure at the heart of performance, reliability and energy efficiency challenges.

Drawing on more than 170 years of industrial expertise, Motul is now applying its innovative know-how to one of the defining challenges of our time: data center cooling.

With the EGEN DCC range, addresses the specific requirements of these environments with two complementary immersion cooling solutions for electronic components: processors (CPU), graphics cards (GPU), RAM memory, etc. Motul EGEN DCC range addresses the sectors growing environmental challenges: they are biodegradable and formulated from bio-sourced and renewable raw materials., They significantly reduce the carbon footprint compared to other immersion fluids without compromising stability or service life.

The EGEN DCC 100R8 fluid meets all OCP guidelines and offers the best balance between high flashpoint and cooling performances.  The EGEN DCC 100R8 fluid has already been validated with several partners in the data center industry like Hyperion, Iceotope, Hypertech and Midas.

The EGEN DCC 100R5 fluid, with its lower viscosity, is designed for specifically high-density computing environments and to optimize pump consumption.

To ensure reliability, both products share optimal operational performance, including:

  • Excellent thermal properties for optimal heat dissipation under demanding computational loads
  • Compatible with a wide range of materials ‘elastomers, plastics, metals)
  • Resistance to corrosion and oxidation to protect equipment over the long term
  • Suitable dielectric properties and excellent electrical insulation
  • Non-toxic formulations which simplifies transportation, storage, and handling operations for the personnel

By combining operational efficiency, thermal performance and an eco-responsible approach, these two dielectric fluids offer data center operators a coherent solution that bridges sustainability and performance — true to Motul’s heritage.
