Motul Petit Le Mans Gallery: Drama in the South

22.10.2019

The newly dubbed Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is one of those circuits that always provides some thrilling racing. The track is loved and feared in equal measure by drivers all across the globe, due to its immense changes in elevation and unforgiving walls. But one thing is certain: IMSA racing at road Atlanta is a feast for the eyes.

The Motul Petit Le Mans has everything the devoted race fan could want – thrilling battles across all categories, a challenging track with plenty of elevation changes and, because IMSA management has decided to push the race back by one hour, the spectators get over three hours of night-time racing for that proper Le Mans feeling.

The IMSA Weathertech Championship wasn’t the only activity of the weekend. In the top-tier series there was a full race programme involving the hugely popular and ever-satisfying Michelin Cup, combining top GT4 and WTCR machinery in a one-hour race, as well as the Porsche US Supercup and the LMP3s of the prototype challenge. All immensely spectacular features, making this one of the most impressive race weekends of the year.

Our Motul Media crew photographer was on site to capture all of the action.
