After clinching the titles of Champion of Peru in 2009 and then in 2010, Jetro Salazar of Team Socopur KTM (name of the Peruvian Motul importer) has won again by clinching the highly coveted title of Latin American Motocross MX2 champion (250 cc). Defending fiercely and proudly the colours of Peru on the Latacunga track, Jetro overcame the best riders of this sport from Colombia, Uruguay, Venezuela, Guatemala, Panama, Brazil and Ecuador. All in all, following a fierce battle with Andres Benenaula, it was indeed that Ecuadorian rider who gave the Peruvian most trouble preventing him from clinching a double win (Jetro Salazar secured second place in round 1 behind Andres Benenaula and first place in round 2).
