Troy Herfoss, 2010 Australian Supersport Champion, kicked off his rookie superbike season last weekend at the opening round of the Australian Superbike Championship.

Yet, despite his apprehension and the presence of world Superbike riders who were also starting their season, Troy Herfoss did not disappoint. Better still, the young Suzuki rider stole the limelight.

Troy indeed came fourth in race 1 despite having made a poor tyre choice, and then clinched a superb second place in race 2, finishing just behind Glen Allerton, 2008 superbike champion and also double winner of the weekend.

In the Supersport category, another Suzuki rider was equally impressive: Brodie Waters! Only just 18 years old, the younger brother of Josh Waters won the first of the two weekend races and finally clinched third place in the overall standings of his category at the end of the weekend.
