Organised last weekend at Sevlievo, the Grand Prix of Bulgaria witnessed a superb performance by Belgian Clément Desalle. The team Rockstar Energy Suzuki World MX1 rider indeed celebrated his fourth career victory on his factory Suzuki RM-Z450 by winning the second race of the weekend. This victory, added to the second position in race 1, allows the young rider to be the current leader of the provisional rider standings.
Steve Ramon, for his part, was still visibly affected by the flu he caught a few days previously and, despite the well-informed advice of his team-mate, had to be content with 12th place in the overall standings.
In MX2, Valentin Teillet suffered a slight fright but a big disappointment as he was forced to abandon the race. Injured on his shoulder after falling, the French rider will not cherish the memory of this first meeting of the season.
