For five days, the worlds of motorcycles, skaters and surfers come together and set up camp at the Cité de l’Océan, a beautifully peaceful spot looking out over the Atlantic. They show off their newest creations, discover each other’s creativity, enjoy great music and just generally hang out together.
It’s not all just relaxation, though. Visitors with motorbikes get a choice of routes, taking them either along the coastline or into the hills above. All along the route there are different events such the Punks Peak spent race, where legends like Troy Corser go flat out along mountain roads. And if off-road action is more your thing, then the El Rollo speedway race or the Swank Rally might be more to your liking.
The highlight of the event is the art ride contest. Bike builders and artists put their heads and their hands together to create the ultimate custom motorbike, and of course it’s a work of art in its own right.
Our reporter was on the scene and captured the atmosphere, so check out our gallery and the Motul aftermovie of this unique event:
