Road Racing Ulster Grand Prix - Ireland - Ulster

Another victory for Guy Martin!

Northern Ireland played host to the Ulster Grand Prix last weekend as the world’s best road racers vied for honours. Among them was the well-known rider and TV presenter Guy Martin and he made sure he was noticed by producing another fine performance. Riding for the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing team, for whom Motul is the technical partner, Martin contested three categories -  Supersport, Superstock & Superbike. And the least one could say is that it’s a partnership that is proving profitable for everyone!

Having finished second on the podium in the Superstock and Superbike 1 categories Martin, who hails from Lincolnshire, dominated from start to finish in Sunday’s Superbike 2 race. In fact, it was such a dominant ride that Martin finished the course a full three seconds ahead of his nearest rival. The victory in Ulster brings to an end an outstanding year for Martin in his first season riding for Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing. He’s collected a number of podium finishes throughout the season, not forgetting his second place in the Isle of Man TT.

But Martin isn’t the only rider who deserves recognition for their feats in Northern Ireland. Another Motul ambassador is Cameron Donald of team Wilson Craig David and the Australian showed great consistency in finishing third in the Supersport 2 race, sixth in Superbike 1 and finally a commendable fourth in Sunday’s Superbike 2.
