GT Itaipava Brasil

The most important category race cars has done its fifth season in Brazil, where it gathers the most coveted brands in the world: Ferrari, Corvette, Lamborghini, Ford GT, Viper, Audi, Porsche, Aston Martin, Maserati and Ginetta, among others.
All cars come out from the same line, but the results and the scores are separated into two classes, depending on differences in performance: GT3 Itaipava and GT4 Itaipava.

The league comprises ten races in double round. The first one was held on April 10th in Sao Paulo, and the last one will be on December 18th in the same locality. The races also will take place in Curitiba, Londrina, Campo Grande, Río de Janeiro and Santa Cruz do Sul.

All races can be followed live by television and also by the portal Terra. The next few weeks the races will be broadcasted through ‘Brandsports’ and ‘Speed Channel’.

Itaipava GT racing takes 50 minutes, with an obligatory stop established by law. The racing program starts with a practice on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and Sunday races take place.

It is worth pointing out that this 2011, Itaipava Brazil has two categories: TNTSuperbike (motorcycle 100cc Championship) and Mercedes-Benz Grand Challenge, which debuts this season with Mercedes-Benz C250 CGI. This is what allows the GT circuit to bring different kinds of people to the circuit, all of them with a ‘passion for velocity’.
