On 16 September, the Zhaoqing circuit, in the province of Guangdong, welcomed the sixth round of the China Touring Car Championship. As in the previous events, Motul provided its technical support to several teams: Beijing Hyundai, Haima and Chongqing CC. As we are approaching the end of the championship, the battle is becoming fiercer between the contenders and the event was marked by several collisions. One of them involved the championship leader, Cui Yue, which forced him to change down and prevented him from obtaining a good result. But the performance of the day was signed Huang Chuhan: having left 8th on the starting grid, he managed to avoid the collisions and, with regularity, passed all his contenders and bagged 2nd place! And as the 1st was disqualified after the race, the win therefore went to Huang Chuhan. For him, it was the second of the season, with Chongqing CC.
Another driver could be pleased with his result: Zhu Hu'an, who climbed the 2nd step of the podium, a fine result for his maiden race in this championship with team Beijing Hyundai.
Despite his difficulties, Cui Yue managed to score a few points and to keep his championship lead, ahead of Chen Xu and Xie Xinzhe. The penultimate round is scheduled for 14 October in Shanghai.
