1940’S MOTUL TRUCK: THE STORY REALLY BEGINS.

20.12.2018

Remember the 1940’s Motul truck which we showed at Le Mans Classic last summer? Well, it definitely hasn’t said its final word yet, not even close. Six months after being discovered, the Motul Renault AHS 3 truck has a new name! "The Vagabond".

As we are writing this, two passionate mechanics are taking apart the old Vagabond bit by bit while inspecting the separate chassis and all mechanical parts. These wrenchers are part of the Journeymen Association who are dedicated bringing trucks like this one back to life.

To keep its authenticity the mechanics are scrubbing off all the rust from the chassis and the mechanical parts, but they leave the bodywork and woodwork in its original bladdered state. The final goal is to show the lorry to the world why keeping its original patina.
