The stunt championship confirms its popularity

01.06.2012

For the first time, the Raubich sports complex in Minsk hosted an event of the Motul M1 Stunt Battle Russia 2012. Thanks to its geographical proximity to Europe, this site attracted a large number of stunt riders. The damp weather made the track slippy, as during the first round in Saint Petersburg, but that didn't discourage the riders at all who gave a magnificent show of acrobatic figures while aiming for the podium.

On 26 May, the fourth round of this superb Motul M-1 Stunt Battle took place in Ukraine, in Kiev. It was hosted as part of the 20th anniversary of the Auto Show SIA of which it formed one of the main attractions. Until now Ukraine had never been the setting of a stunt event of this importance and the participation of many talented riders from eastern European countries was warmly welcomed. The event attracted a massive number of spectators pleased to attend performances which many of them had never seen before. They were even entitled to a demonstration by 2007 UK Stunt Champion and winner of the Motul M-1 Stunt Battle 2009 and 2010: Janis Rozitis.

All the riders did more than their best to get the title and to be present at the Super Final, scheduled on 26 August at the Moscow Raceway, on the occasion of the start of the Russian Superbike Championship.
