Motul teams on the highest step of the podium in MX1 and MX2

19.06.2012

Supported by Motul since 2011, this year the Canadian Motocross Championship is celebrating its twentieth anniversary, proving it has become a regular fixture! The third round  took place on the weekend of 17 June, in the presence of the two leading teams  supported technically by Motul: OTSFF (Yamaha) and Leading Edge (Kawasaki). In MX1, they fought it out for first place. The supremacy of Matt Goerke, the Leading Edge rider who dominated the first two rounds of the season was somewhat disrupted by Bobby Kiniry, of team OTSFF, who clinched the overall victory of the weekend's two races.

This performance allows him to chalk up precious points and draw closer to the championship leader. In the same category, we can also congratulate the performance of the other Leading Edge rider, Tyler Villopoto, brilliant sixth against extremely determined contenders.

In MX2, Teddy Maier, riding for Leading Edge, came into the weekend sporting a three moto win streak and continued in that vein by winning the two weekend motos, thereby strengthening his lead in the championship. Kyle Beaton, excellent third in the first moto did not confirm this result in the second race owing  to a fall which prevented him from podiuming. He however keeps his third place in the championship.
The fourth round is scheduled in Edmonton, on 23 June.
