The third round of the CTCC was especially fiercely fought in the 1600cc category on 17 June at the Chengdu circuit, China. While first place was clinched straightforwardly by a brilliant Chen Xu (team Haima), who had secured the best time in the trials, the other positions were the subject of fierce tussles on the track which rain had made slippery. Sun Zheng (Beijing Hyundai) managed to pass He Zixian (Haima) in the S of the circuit while Cui Yue (Beijing Hyundai) managed to get the better of Xie Xinzhe (Haima) who, despite touching the security wall, finished this eventful race. Motul supported teams Beijing Hyundai, Haima and Chongqing, which took the first nine places in the standings! Next race on 19 August in Ordos.
