Five Motul teams monopolise the top-five

31.05.2012

For Motul, it's an unhoped-for result: the first five teams in class 3, at the arrival of the 24 Hour Rouen Powerboat Race, were all supported technically by Motul! For the 49th edition of this famous race, the organisers had to change the arrangements and shift the traditional date as it was impossible to keep a night race. The event therefore took place for three days, from 26 to 28 May, being stopped in the evening after 21:30.

Team Pegase Humanis took victory with the team Boyard, Savin and Avenel. Just behind, team Drakkar with Chiappe, Morin and Morin managed to climb back well through the ranks but was not in a leadership position like on Saturday, because of an ignition problem in particular. Team Force Inshore, with Gallard, Leroux, Marchand and Masselin, finished 3rd in the overall standings.

In class 2, we can congratulate the 100% female team composed of   Brandt, Bjerknaes, Hericher and Sjoholm which took 4th place at the arrival for the Olympic Team Rouennais, supported by Motul.
Strong public attendance throughout the event and the sport suspense along all the race made this edition a genuine success, which augurs well for a fine fiftieth edition in 2013.
