Motul, partner of Kremer Racing

21.02.2013

The company established exactly 50 years ago by the brothers Erwin and Manfred Kremer, Porsche Kremer Racing from Cologne, has for many years had close links with MOTUL on the historic motor racing scene. The successful German racing stable appreciates the high quality of MOTUL particularly in the area of historic motor racing. Eberhard A. Baunach, owner of Porsche Kremer Racing: “The successes of Kremer Racing are not only based on the highest technical know-how and many years of experience in motor racing but also on the top quality standards of its suppliers. The MOTUL brand, with its first-class products, takes a leading position for us here”. Kremer Racing has already been relying for many years on the legendary engine lubricants in the MOTUL 300 V Motorsport Line. The extremely high demands made in motor racing call for an engine lubricant which guarantees optimal and consistent performance over the entire race distance.

Not least thanks to its numerous successes in motor sport, such as Daytona winner 1995, Le Mans winner 1979, winner of the 24 hours of Spa, three-time European Champion, three-time Interseries Champion, eleven-time Porsche Cup winner and German Champion, Kremer is the incarnation of top-class motor sport. As recently as the beginning of November, Cologne’s Kremer Racing, with its rich tradition, landed fourth place overall in the end-of-season Youngtimer Rally Cologne-Ahrweiler with its Porsche 911SC from the year 1975, restored especially for this event, and was thus the best-placed Porsche.

Besides motor racing itself, the company is also involved in the reconstruction of historic racing cars as well in modern-day motor racing and thus bridges the gap between history and the modern age. Here too, MOTUL supports Kremer Racing as a technology partner. “For us the additional engagement at Kremer Racing in the area of reconstruction of historic racing cars is clear proof of our high level of acceptance on the classic motor racing scene. The technology partnership with Germany's successful racing stable, above and beyond the actual motor racing sport, fills us with pride and spurs us on to further best performances in the classic racing segment”, concludes Michael Visel, Director MOTUL Center of Excellence Market.

Motul will of course remain technical partner of Kremer Racing in 2013, with a generous racing program: 4 cars in the VLN series and the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring, as well as some selected classic racing event.
