Motul well placed at the FIM Gala

06.12.2012

More than 500 guests came together on 1 December at the prestigious 'Salle des Etoiles' at the Sporting de Monte Carlo, for the FIM gala evening. Organised for the third consecutive year, its aim was to pay homage to riders or team managers who distinguished themselves this year on a two-wheeler.

Among these champions, four took Motul's colours to the highest level: Nikolaï Krasnikov, FIM Ice Speedway Gladiators world champion for the eighth consecutive time; Dominique Méliand, SERT Suzuki manager, FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC category) world champion for the thirteenth time; Penz 13 Kraftwerk Herpigny Racing Team, FIM Endurance World Championship world champion (Superstock category); and last, Brian Hsu, 85 cc motocross world champion with team Suzuki Europe. 14 year old Brian is really gifted  because, in addition to motocross, he speaks four languages and plays the violin magnificently well. Moreover he surprised all the gala participants by arriving on the stage with his instrument and by playing a piece before receiving his prize.

The FIM General Assembly, participated in by the national federations from all over the world, took place during the same weekend and, as the FIM official lubricant, Motul held a booth on this occasion. On Sunday morning a symposium was also organised during which a speech was given by Dave Wolman, Motul USA President and the Powersport COE Manager.
