Todd Waters and Cody Cooper clinch a double win!

 

Team Motul Pirelli Suzuki, supported technically by Motul, gathered the fruit of its efforts: on 15 July, at Horsham, Todd Waters and Cody Cooper bagged the first two places on their RM-Z450s, leaving hardly any chances to their contenders. For Waters, the young rider aged 21, it's the second win of the season. At Horsham, he began by securing a clear-cut win in the first race. 

In the second, he finished in third place, then in the last race he took second place after a difficult duel with Coppins. 'I somewhat regret not having been able to contain Josh in the last race,' he commented, 'but climbing the highest step of the podium shows that our work is beginning to bear its fruit'. 

His team-mate, Cody Cooper, achieved his best performance of the season by joining Waters on the podium, tying for points but behind him in the last race. This feat allows him to progress by one place in the championship. Most regular at Horsham, he secured second place in the first race and the win in the second, finishing third in the last: 'It was a good day for all the team. The track was impressive, but hard. I hope we're going to finish the season blazing the same trail!' 

The eighth event of the Australian championship will take place on 29 July at the Appin circuit, New South Wales.
