The Distinguished Gentlemen’s ride: tweed and choppers for men’s health.

04.10.2018

When you manage to get a group of friends together for a charity ride, it’s a great achievement. But when you manage to get 120.000 riders in 650 cities worldwide all taking part to raise millions, that’s something really beautiful. Meet the Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride.

The Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride is a charity event held on 30 September right across the world. It’s an event where the riders get suited and booted in tweed, done their cravats, and ride out to raise funds and awareness to improve men’s health – more specific for prostate cancer and men’s mental health.

The founder of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Mark Hawwa, was inspired to create an event that would gather motorcycle communities around the world with a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper wearing a suit astride a classic motorcycle.

To keep Mark’s original vision alive, all gentlefolk are asked to stick to the dress code of tweed and suits and to the specified motorcycle categories (namely Café Racers, Bobbers, Classics, Trackers, Scramblers, Old School Choppers, Modern Classics, Sidecars, Classic Scooters and Brat-Styled motorcycles).
