Schiffer crowned before the last round
03.10.2012
Marcus Schiffer didn't have to wait for the last round of the ADAC Masters to know that he could already win the champion's crown of the series. At the wheel of a Suzuki RM-Z450 entered by Silent Sport Team supported technically by Motul, Schiffer arrived at the Emmen event, during the last weekend of August, with a comfortable lead. That didn't prevent him however from putting all his talent into the battle, despite the tricky conditions of a sandy track, to win race one and come second in race two. 'I was determined to win the championship here, in Emmen,' he declared after the event. 'Doing so with a win in one of the two races makes me particularly happy. There were very fast riders and I had to fight! So I sincerely thank all the team for having made this title possible.'
And, for Rockstar Energy Suzuki, the young Jeremy Seewer won the Younger Cup title at the wheel of his RM-Z250, despite a fall in race one.
