Josh Brookes strengthens his championship second position

 

The weekend didn't begin well, with a fall for Josh Brookes and Alastair Seeley in the trials. The two riders of Tyco Suzuki, supported technically by Motul, however climbed back well in the seventh event of the season on 22 July at Brands Hatch. Josh Brookes added two podiums to his already impressive tally since the beginning of the season, finishing 2nd in both races. His team-mate Alastair Seeley, having lacked time in qualifying, clinched 9th and 11th place which allows him to stay in the championship top-10. For Philip Neil, team manager, 'The GSX-R1000 Superbike worked superbly but we must keep working over the summer break to find that extra little bit that will make the difference.'
