Superstock 1000 FIM Cup - France

16.02.2012

Adrien Morillas is banking on youth!

For the next FIM European Superstock Cup season, Adrien Morillas is placing trust in youths. In his team MRS (Morillas Racing School), for which Motul is a technical partner, the former French endurance champion is going to assign, in Superstock 1000, a motorcycle to Loris Baz, known for having been in 2008 the youngest European Superstock 600 Champion, already at age 15! After a 2011 season with mixed results, Loris Baz is returning to a solid team which he knows well since, in 2004, Adrien Morillas was already his coach. As for the Kawasaki ZX-10R he will be assigned, it already looks like a winning number.

The other rider chosen by Adrien Morillas is Christophe Ponsson, already at MRS last year and who, aged fifteen, will line up in the European Superstock 600 Championship. Adrien Morillas has previously proved his flair at spotting promising youths and transforming them into talented riders. For 2012, he is assigning them a motorcycle which should help them find their way onto the podium: 'Kawasakis, this year, are the winning motorcycles!' he tells us, even if competition from Ducatis, Aprilias, BMWs and Hondas is likely to be sharp.

The first Superstock event will take place at Imola, in Italy, on 31 March and 1 April.
