The second and last round of the Chinese Formula Student took place at the Shanghai international circuit from 17 to 21 October. Among the 33 contending teams, 5 were supported technically by Motul, namely the colleges BIT, KMUST, TJU, HIT and SCUT.
Following various events in which the participating cars were progressively eliminated, team BIT was declared Champion 2011 ahead of the 32 other contenders. The other Motul teams also gave impressive performances as shown by the following list of categories which they dominated:
• Best marketing report: 2nd place for team SCUT (team BIT won).
• Fuel economy: 1st place for team KMUST.
• Cost & manufacture analysis: 1st place for team TJU.
• Automotive design: 3rd place for team HIT.
