The seventh round of the China Touring Car Championship took place at the Guangdong track on 16 October. The first good news of the weekend came following the qualifying heats since the best two times were clinched by the drivers of the teams supported technically by Motul. Lin Lifeng and Chen Xu (both from team Haima family), respectively first and second, were slightly faster than the young Xie Xinzhe of team Tiida.
In the race, following a heated battle to secure the places of honour, the same arrival order was to be kept. Lin Lifeng and Chen Xu managed to keep their advance to cross the chequered flag in first and second place.
Next and last round of the season in Shanghai on 6 November.
