25.05.2022

Acclaimed racing driver Andrew Jordan has revealed pictures of his new-look racing helmet – and he’s gone for an eye-catching Motul-inspired design. The Motul brand ambassador and former BTCC champion unveiled his new helmet on social media. Finished in Motul’s iconic red and silver colours and Motul 300V graphics, the helmet will certainly stand out when Jordan lines up on the grid.

Of his new helmet design, Jordan said:

“I am really happy with it. The brief to the designer was to incorporate the Motul colours and brand but in my style of design that I have had previously, which is lots of sharp lines and angles. I will be using this in all of my races this season, including my Mini Miglia, Goodwood Revival and Peter Auto Historic. As my relationship with Motul continues to grow I wanted to try and link myself closer with their brand and colours. As a driver the crash helmet is the best piece of visible marketing there is.”

From BTCC champ to classic car restorer

Starting off as an independent BTCC racer, Jordan’s crowning glory was lifting the 2013 BTCC championship. He also made BTCC history as the sport’s youngest pole setter. He has since taken a step back from touring cars to run, with his dad, Andrew Jordan Racing, a specialist racing car workshop, but still takes part in a number of classic car races each year.

Speaking of his successful and exclusive partnership with Motul, Jordan added:

“Every car we work on uses Motul. It’s completely exclusive. Whether it’s brake fluid or gearbox oil. It’s something we’re very proud of. As they evolve different products, we can test them and give feedback as we work on such a huge variety of cars. The quality of Motul is a big thing. A lot of these cars are on very tight tolerances, and you’ve got to have the good stuff in there to keep the longevity. These are expensive cars, expensive engines, and we need the reliability. So, you’ve got to put the best you can in there.”
