Team HRC Dakar Rally took advantage of the Aragon Grand Prix to announce the composition of its 2015 Rally team. The event took place in the presence of Livio Suppo, Honda HRC marketing and communication director and team Repsol Honda MotoGP manager, and Martino Bianchi, Team HRC Dakar Rally general manager. It's the latter who presented the team riders: Hélder Rodrigues, Paulo Gonçalves and Joan Barreda, completed by two newcomers, Jeremías Israel and Laia Sanz. The arrival in the auditorium of Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa, who had come along to encourage their team-mates, was greeted by warm applause.
Honda also presented the new version of its CRF450 Rally. 'We're proud of this bike because it has shown its potential by winning straightaway on arriving in the rallies world,' commented Katsumi Yamazaki. 'This year it enjoys several improvements making it even more competitive in terms of reliability, lightness, power and ease of riding.'
Before taking the direction of South America for the Dakar, Team HRC will take part on 3 October in the Moroccan Rally between Erfoud and Marrakech.
