Making full use of Motul’s Heavy Duty range, the international lubricant specialist is technically supporting Rooster Racing in the British Truck Racing Association (BTRA) Championship, one of the series which feeds into the FIA-sanctioned European Truck Racing Championship. The wishes of the many, many thousands of truck racing fans came true on 23/24th September at the home of endurance racing, Le Mans, with the first 100% truck racing event – the FIA ETRC, the French Cup for Trucks and the BTRA – joining the event as an unofficial round of the national championship. With the trucks shaking the ground and wowing the senses, it provided spectators with the ultimate entertainment and some heavy-duty racing action. From the four races over the weekend, Rooster Racing’s driver, Luke Taylor, scooped three 2nd places and one 3rd making it a dream weekend for the Manchester driver and “King Klaus”, his MAN racing-prepared truck. Motul has provided the team with the very specific products needed for this type of racing - Tekma Ultima + 5W30 engine oil, Gear Synt TDL 75W90 gearbox oil and Multi ATF power steering fluid, all of which which helped Rooster Racing towards their success.

Driver Luke Taylor explains more about how Motul made light work of the heavy-duty racing environment: “For a while we were having issues with the power steering which made the truck a lot more physical to drive through the corners.
