As Official Lubricant Partner of La Carrera Panamericana since 2014, Motul is set to continue its commitment to this mythical central American event in 2018, demonstrating once again that the French lubricant brand is conscious of its past and willing to celebrate its links with the classic car industry.
La Carrera Panamericana is one of the world’s longest and most prestigious road rally car races. Drivers from all around the world come to compete for 7 days, racing more than 3000km in challenging conditions. This year, the race will start from Oaxaca in southern Mexico on October 12th and finish in Durango, central Mexico, on October 18th 2018.
To mark its 165th anniversary, Motul has had a greater presence than ever on the classic international stage, partnering the mythical Goodwood Revival event for the first time, as well as the Le Mans Classic, among many others. These historic, passion-filled road rallies typify Motul’s core values: competitors coming together as a family over several days; working through the highs and lows of these events, facing up to fatigue, challenging conditions and changeable weather; competing against an international field in classic cars, which have all been meticulously prepared; receiving nothing in return but the love of competing and the thrill of winning! Passion, preparation and perfection: three words which encapsulate just part of this amazing event.
Classic cars entering La Carrera Panamericana are modified to meet modern safety standards while still enjoying the unique experience of old motor vehicles racing at top speed on open roads. Motul has a wide range of products to meet all needs: Motul Classic Line is used for classic engines, and Motul 300V Motorsport Line for modified engines. Many teams will be trusting Motul to get them on top of the podium. Among them, a 1965 Ford Mustang, a 1965 Ford Falcon, a Chevrolet Nova also from 1965, and a 1954 LT Special.
