Press Release - Blue Wing Honda and Motul announce partnership

Auckland, 26 November 2014. New Zealand’s leading distributor of Honda road, farm and recreational motorbikes and scooters is pleased to announce that French lubricant specialist Motul will now be its official lubricants partner.

Motul products are currently widely available at various Honda dealers and these dealers can attest to the quality of its products. This partnership will support the wider business and the sponsorship of Blue Wing Honda partnered race teams, who will spearhead the endorsement of Motul’s range in motorsports.

The Honda Shop Race Team will field Cody Cooper, defending national champion, alongside John Philips in the national MX1 class, while Aaron Whiltshire will be competing in MX2. Motul will be a key technical partner of the team, who is widely considered as a key contender for the championship. The team is gearing up for the new race season and is pleased that all agreements and sponsors are in place and ready to go racing

The technical partnership will also be carried over to circuit racing, and sees Motul working with the Honda Road Race Team with James Smith on the CBR1000RR Super bike and Jeremy Holmes on the Supersport CBR600RR.

General Manager of Blue Wing Honda Alan Petrie said, “We are very pleased to be working with Motul here in New Zealand and we are very accustomed with their brand considering their strong, long-term ties across the globe with Honda and their racing teams. We simply want to work with the best brands in the market to help our teams succeed and Motul has the same ambition.”

Commenting on this latest partnership, Managing Director of High Performance Lubricants, distributor of Motul products in New Zealand, Robin Simpson said, “We are very excited to be on board with Blue Wing Honda and look forward to a close working relationship with them. This is fully supported by Motul Asia Pacific and is a significant step forward for the brand in the New Zealand market.”
