MOTUL to support HOZOÏ two-wheel world trip

10.07.2012

Internationally known and respected for the formulation, development and production of world-class lubricants, Motul enjoys strong recognition in the two-wheel community. The company is also recognised as a keen and long-time supporter of projects that encourage encounters and the pioneering spirit.

Throughout its 160-year history, the French company – which has a presence in over 85 markets worldwide – has not been afraid to venture off the beaten path through its involvement in unconventional endeavours in order to create excitement and passion.

In this frame of mind Motul is proud to announce its patronage of the “Hozoï two-wheel trip”. Officially launched on July 10th 2012, the Hozoï two-wheel trip is a seven-month project during which the French concept graffiti and metalwork artist, Hozoï, is going to travel across five continents to seven countries. He will report on the variety of two-wheel cultures and uses for motorcycles in different areas of the world.
The project is taking place in the following countries:

- Indonesia
- Japan
- Mongolia
- Germany
- Peru
- USA
- Senegal

Besides aiming to promote universal human values and highlight that motorcycle’s uses and purposes strongly depend on culture and environment, the Hozoï two-wheel trip strengthens the relationship between local populations and the Powersports community.

The expedition will be reported not only through articles, videos and photos but also through Hozoï’s sculptures and various graphic representations inspired by his encounters.

City lover and mechanical enthusiast, Hozoi has already been inspired by Motul. In 2011, he was called on to spruce up, in his colourful style, the parking lot walls and the façade of the company’s headquarters and made a fresco transmitting the group’s core values: High Technology, Expertise, Authenticity, and Commitment.

Ten years earlier, Motul and Hozoï collaborated on a similar project moved by the desire of fashioning ties between art and automotive industry.

Motul is offering updates on the project through a blog http://hozoi-2-wheel-trip.tumblr.com/, its corporate Facebook page (www.facebook.com/motul) and Youtube Channel (www.youtube.com/motul) and also via its Twitter account (www.twitter.com/motul).
