Motul has found a sure-fire way of making a MotoGP fan even happier: turn him or her into a Superfan! The event was organised for the second time at the Gran Premio Motul de la Comunitat Valenciana. The winner of the Facebook contest, Dora Pajarón Morera, aged 29, thus enjoyed with her husband the privilege of a complete VIP pack.
'It's fantastic to live close to the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo', Dory, as she is called by her close friends, tells us. 'With my husband, the passion for motorcycles counted in our love encounter and since 2010 we have been coming by bike to watch the Grand Prix. We try to take at least two days holiday to make sure we don't miss anything at all. On Thursday we try to meet the riders and on Sunday we get up very early to be first on the grandstand. By winning the Motul contest, I imagined this time would be a bit special but I didn't think it would be so marvellous!'
Dory is genuinely passionate and so appreciated every second spent among her idols and the world's finest and best performing high-speed motorcycles. 'On Saturday, the first stop was at the hospitality tent reserved for Motul VIPs, a very friendly area where you can drink and eat all day long! I received my Superfan T-shirt which I put on straightaway to visit the Monster Energy Yamaha Tech3 pit box. The two riders, Pol Espargaró and Bradley Smith, were busy working on set-up with the team technicians. We got deeper and deeper into this waking dream! A person (Milena) from Tech3 gave us a commented tour of the paddock, passing via the team hospitality tent. We were told there about specific safety equipment worn by riders such as their leather racing suits with an airbag protecting against falls. Absolute little marvels of technology.'
On Sunday, the couple also adored discovering the pit-lane. They were delighted with the refuelling at Tech3 and Suzuki, two teams partnered technically by Motul. Dory was extremely moved by the Moto3 podium ceremony where she handed his trophy to Jakub Kornfeil on the third step.
'We then watched the last races of the weekend including the MotoGP race and I was particularly happy to be see the crowning of Jorge Lorenzo, my lifelong favourite rider! I'd like to thank Motul immensely for one of the most fantastic moments of my life. We were welcomed so warmly by the Motul, circuit, and team personnel… It's difficult to express with words what I felt during the entirely perfect weekend.'
