MOTUL BMW PARTNERSHIP TRIUMPHS AT DAYTONA FIRST TIME OUT

If you want to know what the time is, the drivers of two Motul-supported teams will be eager to tell you as they are now the proud owners of new Rolex watches after winning today at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the first round of the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

Big congratulations from all at Motul to BMW Team RLL and the drivers of the No24 Motul BMW M8 GTE, John Edwards, Augusto Farfus, Chaz Mostert and Jesse Krohn.  They claimed a second successive GTLM class win at the 24-hour classic for the marque, and the first in partnership with Motul…in its first race together!

Motul only recently announced a new technical partnership with BMW M Motorsport and the American team which is racing in the hugely competitive category against official factory programs from Corvette, Ferrari and Porsche.  BMW dominated for much of the record-distance setting race, and there couldn’t have been a better start to the new alliance.

Congratulations are also due to another team which receives technical support from Motul, the DragonSpeed USA team which won the LMP2 category. Ben Hanley, Henrik Hedman, Colin Braun and Harrison Newey took victory in the team’s ORECA 07 after a solid performance by the four drivers and the entire team.

The next round will be the Twelve Hours of Sebring alongside the FIA World Endurance Championship in March and surely the answer to “what is the time?” should be…time to use Motul!
