ORLANDO, FL, January 6, 2020 // Following the announcement of a new driver lineup and title sponsorship with Motul, Toronto-based Pfaff Motorsports participated in the annual IMSA WeatherTech ROAR pre-season test at Daytona International Speedway ahead of the season-opening 24 Hours of Daytona, January 25 to 26.
The team’s key goals for the weekend included a complete shakedown of the team’s plaid livery Porsche 911 GT3 R, as well as acclimating its world-class, four-driver lineup. At the Rolex 24, Porsche factory driver Patrick Pilet (FRA) will 2019 GTD Sprint Champion Zach Robichon (CAN), 2019 Intercontinental GT champion Dennis Olsen (NOR), who helped the team to its first-ever GTD win, and Nurburgring production car lap-record holder Lars Kern (GER), who drove endurance races with Pfaff Motorsports in 2019.
Over the course of the weekend, the team was able to test various setups, making continued improvements until the final session on Sunday afternoon.
