All the World Motocross Championship contenders turned up last weekend at Glen Helen (California) for the US Grand Prix.
On one of the season's most difficult tracks (very long, extremely physical and marked by several highly impressive jumps), Clément Desalle, the young rider of team Suzuki Rockstar – for which Motul is a technical partner – kept a firm grip on his performance both mentally and physically. Despite variable weather conditions, he managed to win both the Saturday qualification and the two main races on Sunday.
Cherry on the cake, he will be on the starting line of the next race in Brazil in a fortnight with the championship leader's red plate!
A less impressive weekend however for his team mate Steve Ramon after a bad fall, and ditto for local man Sean Lipanovich (also supported by Motul) who was making his comeback to racing here after a knee injury.
Mention should also be made of the friendly visit by Steve Ramon, Clément Desalle and Eric Desalle (Team Manager) to Motul USA, the day after the race!
