ADR Delta and Larbre Compétition win in China!

30.10.2012

The eighth and last round of the championship, the Shanghai 6 Hours on 28 October, saw the confirmation of the competitiveness of Toyota opposite Audi, the Japanese constructor clinching its third win of the season. In LMP2, ADR-Delta's Oreca-Nissan took its second win on a trot and the fourth of the year, which allowed the British team to pip Pecom Racing at the post by finishing the LMP2 championship second placed. The car of John Martin, Tor Graves, and Mathias Beche took control of the category at the start of the race and kept it all the way to the arrival, with a podium mirroring that of Fuji two weeks ago! It's a magnificent result for these two teams supported technically by Motul.

Following the Fuji event two weeks ago, Larbre Competition was in a very good position to win the title in the LMGTE-Am category. This team supported technically by Motul confirmed its domination in  Shanghai. One lap ahead of its main contender, the Corvette C6.R driven by Julien Canal, Patrick Bornhauser and back-up from Pedro Lamy crossed the arrival line 1st of its category, after an incident-free race. This outcome could have come earlier without the exclusions for technical non-compliance at the 6 Hours of São Paulo and of Bahrain. An appeal has been lodged against that decision.

The teams will meet again on 14 April 2013 for the 6 Hours of Donington, the first event next season.
