Endurance changes the cycle of the seasons

Motul is particularly interested in motorcycling Endurance. As official lubricant partner of the FIM EWC, Motul has also accompanied teams Suzuki Endurance Racing and Traqueur Louit Moto 33 on their way to conquering the title of World Endurance champion for one of them and of the World Superstock Cup for the other. From 2016, the discipline is going to evolve under the initiative of its operator,   Eurosport Events.

The Events division of the famous TV channel has been collaborating with the EWC since 2015. This experience has led it to propose a reform to the International Motorcycling Federation to strengthen the impact of the championship. So, in 2016, four events are again programmed, but from April to August. After the Bol d'Or, in September, the EWC will opt for a cycle from September to July, especially so as to take advantage of opportunities outside Europe in winter, during the off-season of other major circuit championships. The season will finish with a flourish with an emblematic event, the Suzuka 8 Hours. Several initiatives to support the teams' efforts have also been announced.

'In 2015, we gave Endurance almost 60 hours of broadcasting bringing it to 40 million television viewers' stated François Ribeiro, Operations Director at Eurosport Events. 'We held in-depth talks with all the stakeholders of the World Championship so as to bring positive changes to a discipline with many assets. Its history is rich, it provides a fine show and highlights the brands and reliability of motorcycles.'
