Brought together in aid of the handicapped and children

23.10.2012

Bringing together approximately 1,500 participants from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and other neighbouring countries, the 3-Nation Charity Ride is one of the region's biggest motorcycling events. Organised every year since 1994, and taking place in every year in a different venue, Krabi (Thailand) has been selected for 2012. Profits were dedicated to the Krabi Handicapped Persons Committee and to the Ban Klongsai Prachaoutid School, an educational foundation for children. As in major motorcycling fests in Europe or the United States, the event had many facets and types of machines: whether at the wheel of Harley-Davidsons, Sportbikes, Honda Goldwings, side-cars or choppers, all the participants were happy to come together,  sharing their common passion. Their efforts to come along, sometimes from afar, were rewarded by a concert on Friday and Saturday evenings where they could cheer in particular 'The Sun', one of the most popular groups in Thailand.

As a partner of the event as a whole, Motul was present with a showcase reception booth presenting its product range, especially the MC Care line. It was a good opportunity to communicate in English, Thai and Mandarin with this community from various countries, while a local outlet was offering a fast maintenance service on the road to Krabi for those needing one. One of the Malaysian participants even managed to cross 1,400 km upright on his bike!
