ZED 2 out to conquer Australia!

26.12.2011

You probably remember 'ZED 1', the Nissan-based dragster which smashed the European record in its category at the beginning of the 2011 season. The 1,800 hp of its V6 3.5 litre twin-turbo engine indeed allowed it to cover the 400 metres in 6.63 seconds, with a final speed of 336 km/h! John Bradshaw, driver and team manager of Brams Racing, can therefore be proud of his baby. But he has decided not to rest on his laurels. The team is thus in the process of developing ZED 2, another dragstrip monster which will go to Australia in 2012 to defend its colours. Currently nearing the end of construction in the Performance Motosports workshop (a car tuner specialised in sports vehicles, located a few kilometres from New York and a Motul client), ZED 2 is expected to head this week for the Brams Racing workshop in England to receive finishing touches.

As for ZED 1, before its deafening decibels are actually heard in all Europe, it will be exhibited at the Autosport Show in Birmingham, from 12 to 15 January. The aim is to make it the Japanese car with the world's best performance. 'That's ambitious but we sure are motivated!' concludes the team manager.
