French Ice Championship – Andorre – Granvalira

22.12.2011

Jean-Philippe Dayraut grabs the lead in the overall standings

The second round of the Andros Trophy 2011 took place last weekend in Andorra at the Granvalira resort. Second in the overall standings at the end of the Val Thorens round, Jean-Philippe Dayraut (Mini Countryman), whose team SaintéLoc is supported technically by Motul, didn't take long to claw back his ground. Particularly at ease during the qualifyings, the French driver indeed won in race 1.

In race 2, the public present saw the counter-attack by former F1 World Champion: Alain Prost (Dacia Lodgy). After a difficult first round in Val Thorens, Alain made up for his falling behind and is now just one tiny point behind Jean-Philippe Dayraut.

In Andros Electric, the prize for the best performance of the weekend goes to the young Adrien Tambay. After winning the Andorra round, the latter now ranks fourth in the overall standings.
