Canadian Rally Championship - Bancroft

U.S. Rally Champion 2011, the Higgins-Drew duo and the entire Subaru Rally USA team – for which Motul is a faithful technical partner – travelled last weekend to Ontario, Canada, to participate in the sixth and last round of the Canadian Championship.

Since the end of July and the New England Rally, the team had indeed participated only in 'exotic' competitions: Rallycross, hill climbs, X Games and TV shows – including the new Battle Cross show on Speed TV.

It was therefore an ideal opportunity to return to intense official racing conditions and test the latest changes with the 2012 season in view... 

For a first appearance in this rally with novel characteristics (a single but very long racing day, a large variety of roads and surfaces...), the British team began the rally at a rather conservative pace so as to ensure there would be a maximum number of kilometres of information feedback – not without having had a flat twice! - before progressively increasing the pace and flying high in the standings at the end of the rally... which they finished in second place, less than 30 seconds from the winner. 

Perfect preparation therefore to get ready for the 2012 season which will begin at end January with the Sno Drift Rally.
