Suzuki International Europe well prepared to face the 2013 season

21.01.2013

This year team Suzuki International Europe, supported technically by Motul, is going to start the German IDM Superbike and Supersport Championship with real assets in the form of its riders. It has indeed signed up treble champion of this discipline, Martin Bauer, who after offering himself a break last year, will be riding a GSX-R1000. His team-mates will be HPC-Power's Sascha Hommel, and Steven Michels. 'After a year without competing, I'm impatient to get back racing,' explained Martin Bauer. 'Suzuki is a new challenge for me and has made great efforts to help me reconquer the title in 2013'.

In Supersport, Sarah Heide joins 2011 champion Jesco Günther, on a GSX-R600.
For Thomas Hannecke, manager of Sport Marketing Suzuki International Europe, 'Suzuki will be extremely well represented in both lead categories of the IDM [Internationale Deutsche Motorradmeistershaft] championship. We've been actively supporting this championship for many years, as it provides us with a platform to ideally represent our brand and remain in contact with clients. It's all the more exciting this year with Martin Bauer, who is not only an experienced rider but also well known for his fighting spirit and technical know-how.  And we're also well represented in the Supersport category. All this augurs well for a fine start to the season, in Lausitz.' The championship will indeed kick off at the Brandebourg circuit during the first weekend of April.
